Never say never! A few months ago if you were to tell me that I was going to meet the love of my life I would have smirked and said "Never gonna happen!" I was conviced and actually had accepted in my mind that after my aweful divorce 6 years ago, 2 bombed short-term relationships, and a career that engulfs the majority of my time that I would forever live alone... on purpose. I swore I'd never get married again, never get pregnant again, and never own a Ford. I pictured myself as the crooked old woman toddling down the crooked dirt path with her crooked walking stick and crooked dog... well , make that a crooked old barn cat with fleas! Then my Fairy God Mother stopped by one night... she was incognito. There were no pumpkins, glass slippers, or evil step-sisters, but nevertheless I found my prince and I only had to wait 38 years and pay $9.99 for him! (An inside joke)
With the "poof" of her wand stood the most kind, loving, hard-working, handsome man in shiny black Peterbilt. In just a few short days I knew she had given me a priceless gift and I'd better not screw it up! So, I chained him in the walk-in closet for a few weeks until he accepted his fate.... just kidding! We came to the conclusion very quickly that we share a brain, our hearts, and could not live without each other.
So for all those people out there who like to use the word "never".... never say never!
