Shotgun Wedding

What do you get when you cross one redneck with another? A Shotgun Wedding. Scott and I had planned to get married for months, we'd just never set a date. I was getting all stressed out over wedding arrangements so one day when we were in town we decided to stop at the court house and pick up a marriage license then headed on over to the DMV to give Mama the good news.... we were getting married in her back yard the next day. After the chest pain subsided she agreed (we weren't giving her a choice, lol) to let us use her house for the wedding. It was a very small, informal ceremony. My mother added her own touch by bringing out the shotgun and holding it on us so we couldn't change our minds. Our internet ordained minister friend, Chris Hancock married us... I wrote the vows with a Home on the Range theme, lol. We were like the Clampetts. The kids were in the swimming pool during the ceremony, everybody was wearing jeans, shorts and t-shirts, flip flops or barefooted, and our wedding dinner consisted of chicken enchaladas, wakiki meatballs, and baked beans. It was the most hillbilly thing you ever saw! My only regret is not being able to share it with all our family and friends.
